Commitment is what carries a vision into reality. It’s what allows trust to deepen in relationships. It’s what creates growth, health, connection, leadership, fulfillment, and self-respect over time.
Without commitment, we become reactive to life. We wait until we “feel ready.” We avoid difficult conversations because we don’t “feel comfortable.” We abandon ourselves the moment something becomes inconvenient, uncertain, uncomfortable, or hard.
And eventually, that creates disconnection, not just from others, but from ourselves.
Because fulfillment doesn’t come from constantly chasing comfort or emotional highs. It comes from living in alignment with who you truly want to be.

Branka Lovric | Owner of Azzura Haus of Beauty in Georgetown, DC
This month, we’re honored to spotlight Branka, a woman whose generosity, leadership, and heart beautifully embody what WE Rise Together truly means.
As Branka welcomed her fourth baby boy, she chose to celebrate in a deeply intentional way. Instead of hosting a traditional baby shower, she partnered with The MOTHR Foundation to create a community gathering dedicated to supporting mothers in need.
Hosted at her beautiful business, Azzura Haus of Beauty in Georgetown, the evening brought women together through connection, care, and purpose. Branka thoughtfully curated an experience that felt both beautiful and meaningful, from incredible food and mocktails to local sponsors, jewelry vendors, and intentional touches that made every woman feel welcomed and connected.
More than a celebration, it became a reflection of what happens when women come together with heart.
Through donations, partnerships, and community support, the event helped provide:
• 3,750 diapers • 4,324 wipes • 212 laundry detergents • 820 feminine care products • $2,500 in donations for mothers and families in need
What moved us most wasn’t just the impact created, it was the spirit behind it.
Branka leads with generosity, inclusivity, and deep care for others. She reminds us that empowerment is not only about personal success, but about creating spaces where other women feel supported, seen, and uplifted too.

Mer Bechara – Founder of MerLine Morocco
Born in Morocco and deeply rooted in the beauty industry, Mer has spent years helping women feel confident, beautiful, and cared for through her work in hair and wellness. Alongside her husband, she has helped build and grow a successful salon rooted in expertise, transformation, and client care, becoming known not just for styling hair, but for understanding it on a deeper level.
Now, Mer is entering a new chapter with the launch of MerLine, a hair ritual inspired by her roots, her experience, and her commitment to helping women care for their hair from the source.
Drawing inspiration from Morocco and the traditions she grew up around, Mer carefully curated a line centered around authentic Moroccan oils and scalp care, bringing attention to something many people overlook: the environment in which healthy hair actually grows.
“Healthy hair begins at the root” is more than a beauty statement for Mer, it’s a philosophy rooted in care, consistency, and intention.
What makes this launch especially powerful is that it reflects a return to authenticity. Rather than creating something based on trends, Mer created something deeply connected to who she is, where she comes from, and the knowledge she has built through years of experience in the industry.
Through MerLine, she is inviting women to slow down and turn hair care into ritual, not just focusing on appearance, but on nourishment, restoration, and self-care from the inside out.
Her journey is a reminder that some of the most impactful things we create come from reconnecting to our roots, trusting our experience, and having the courage to bring a vision to life.

The WE Collective is a space to share wins, wisdom, opportunities, encouragement, ideas, resources, and authentic conversations with women who are committed to growth, fulfillment, and impact. It’s a place to support one another, collaborate, expand our networks, and continue building a culture where women truly rise together.
As Women Empower continues to grow, so does the vision: creating a global sisterhood rooted in authenticity, empowerment, generosity, and meaningful connection.

This month’s Empower Circle, hosted by our member Cordelia, was a beautiful reminder that self-care is often found in the simplest moments, slowing down, creating with our hands, nourishing ourselves, and gathering in meaningful connection with others.
Welcomed into Cordelia’s home, we shared homemade sourdough, thoughtful bites, warm chocolate chip cookies, and honest conversation around the connection between mental health, presence, and intentional living. What began as learning the art of creating and caring for a sourdough starter became something much deeper.
As each woman mixed and prepared her own starter to take home, we reflected on what we are feeding in our own lives, our thoughts, our habits, our relationships, our peace, and our well-being.
We closed the evening gathered around the table in heartfelt conversation, connecting not only to one another on a deeper level, but also to ourselves. It was intimate, grounding, nourishing, and deeply inspiring.
Each woman left with her own starter in hand, and a reminder that the things we care for consistently, patiently, and intentionally are the things that grow.
